It is impossible to journey spiritually here at Ebenezer if I am not willing to make major changes in life. I have to conform my life to God and believe that the very first thing that I should change is my attitude, behavior and character. All of these must be conformed to Christ’s character.

I was so arrogant and proud before I came to Ebenezer. Honestly, I used to rate myself higher than others. These are the very reasons why I found the changed attitude, behavior and character very complicated. I prayed earnestly to God to help me change because I believe that it is only through His empowerment that those attitudes can be transformed. Thank the Lord that Ebenezer is the right place where I can pursue with my quest towards Christlikeness.
Likewise, I was able to change my preferences. Instead of exerting the best effort in my studies, nowadays, I put forth more effort in dealing with my attitude, behavior and character. I am now conscious of the way I behave. I also left behind life’s goals, ideals and desires and put everything in the hands of God for all of these to happen. Everything had to be yielded to God. This changed attitude I have was confirmed by the majority of the people I was with when they saw that I am not the Ricky they used to know. Thus, I can say that I was changed by the working of the Holy Spirit in my life here at Ebenezer.
If I continue to live here at Ebenezer, I know that I can still discover and examine the remaining bad attitudes I have. One thing I am sure, I will be willing to be corrected by God. I learned and I will still be learning that changing one’s life for God is well worth the cost especially when I journey in life - life of a servant leader to be.* (Ricky Lagare, EBCS Junior Student)
